Great patisserie !!! Small place in trastevere with a bit of a queue but as u got in it all explained... A joy ro the eyes... sweets, saltiness, sandwiches, Cafe ecc. The service is kind and fast. Somehow even that the place is small it doesn't feels like... tables inside (seating) and outside (standing). There is also toilet (clean) inside... Update- they made the coffee a self service... a bit weird...

After glowing reviews of there quiche. I ordered both florantine and veggitable. Maybe vegetables are out of season this early in june but I received an egg and pea quiche. Not exactly bad just not the same veggie quiche that got the rave reviews! Very disappointed. I ordered many other things. They all look consistent with the photos mostly. Some were much smaller and some larger.

Staff was super nice and spoke excellent English, service was great and it wasn’t noisy and we were able to take a seat inside. We ordered a cinnamon roll and a pain au chocolate. Both were amazing, and fairly cheap for their quality (both €1,80). To drink we had a water, which was nicely cooled, and a biologically pressed pear juice, which is definitely worth trying despite the price tag (€4,80). This place is worth going to!

It was the best thing we had in Rome. Try the Croassaint Pistachio if you like it, it was so well filled. The space is small but the atmosphere is so cute. Locals actually go there. Its not a tourist trap. 10/10

The olive bread has got to be one of the best/tastiest breads I’ve ever eaten - and I love bread! Soft, fluffy and crunchy in all the right places and filled with loads of nice olives. Baked fresh on site this morning as was still warm when we picked it up. It’s more expensive than your usual breads at €5 for half/€10 for a whole loaf, but well worth it I think, delicious! The pastries looked great too, so I’ll be coming back to try those another time!

When I found this place was right on the doorstep of our Airbnb my heart did a little happy dance. As a recovering baker I value the time, effort, and skill that goes in to producing products of this quality. Really, really great things. Thank you for your services to the craft of baking. We need more businesses like this.

If you’re looking for a bakery that exudes authenticity and is a hidden gem that is NOT crowded and barely known by tourist, THIS IS the place. If I could eat every option in one sitting, I would. So welcoming and delicious.

Was looking for some good coffee rather early on a sleepy Sunday morning in Trastevere. I happened to come across this shop, and so happy I did. It was easily one of the best “bars” (café) I’ve discovered in Rome. I ordered an Americano, and noticed the barista poured the coffee from a carafe. Turns out it was super high quality and delicious filter coffee, 10/10. For a North American coffee snob used to only ever getting espresso pulls, this was a great surprise. And then the pastry… mama Mia. I don’t remember the name of the pastry, but I was told it was like a croissant, but with caramelized sugar, and MORE butter. It was crazy buttery, denser / toothier and perfect texture, the caramel layer was thin and crackling, another 10/10. And the pizzeta was also perfect, buttery, flaky and the right amount of crispy. Was so good, I ordered another coffee to go and a different pasty to take to the airport. Staff were very friendly and locals seem to love it.

Le Levain is the place in Rome for croissants and French style baking in general. The croissants are excellent: properly laminated, buttery, crisp on the outside and soft inside, with none of the shortcuts you often find elsewhere. The quality is consistent, the flavors are clean and precise, and everything feels made by people who take their craft seriously. It stands out clearly, even in a city not traditionally known for French pastry. If you care about good croissants in Rome, this is the place to go.
